Mention the function of the cotyledon. - What is a placenta? Write any two major functions of the placenta.
- Different species use different strategies to determine the sex of a newborn individual. It can be environmental cues or genetically determined‟. Explain the statement by giving an example for each strategy.

- A child while playing with his father‟s spectacles burnt a hole in a piece of paper by focusing on a small image of the sun on it.
